Verizon UMW190 USB-based 3G USB Modem
Another modem device is out. Yes, Verizon has recently launched its new USB-based 3G modem for world wide travelers. The Verizon Wireless UMW190 comes to the market with 3G connectivity, and is capable of delivering high-speed Internet. The gadget features support for Dual-Band CDMA Revision A, Tri-Band UMTS / HSPA and Quad-Band GSM / GPRS / EDGE frequencies, which makes it fit for use anywhere around the planet.
Moreover, Verizon Wireless’s VZAccess Manager software enables customers to easily install and configure the modem. Its unique trick is a sliding cover that protects the swiveling USB connector when it’s not in use. This Verizon UMW190 World 3G USB Modem officially supports PCs running Windows 2000, XP or Vista and having support for SMS messaging over the cellular network.
The price tag for the Verizon Wireless UMW190 has been set at $49.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement and after a $50 mail-in rebate. More details on Verizon’s offering can be found on the carrier’s website.
