Nokia made a new firmware 2.0 for N97 smartphone. The update already available for free download from the Nokia Software Update website or via the menu on the phone. The installs a huge list of fixes, including a “soft” scroll with ‘flip scrolling’. Also available are “hot” keys for quick access to the homescreen with their preferences, a new version of Ovi Maps 3.1 with 3D maps, some component updates... 

Facebook has recently announced that they are gearing up to launch version 3.0 of their iphone and iPod app. If you are waiting for Facebook push notifications a la iPhone OS 3.0, you’re going to be disappointed, because it doesn’t add it. However, the announcement says that the Facebook 3.0 iPhone app is about 98% done with no real release date announced. They also added that users should expect a 3.1 update...
