Say Hello To New Firmware 2.0 for Nokia N97
Nokia made a new firmware 2.0 for N97 smartphone. The update already available for free download from the Nokia Software Update website or via the menu on the phone. The installs a huge list of fixes, including a “soft” scroll with ‘flip scrolling’. Also available are “hot” keys for quick access to the homescreen with their preferences, a new version of Ovi Maps 3.1 with 3D maps, some component updates for Nokia E-mail, Ovi Contacts and Ovi Store.
Aquarius NS409 Netbook with Rotary Display
Aquarius, a Russian based company, presents its new notebook which they call it with a simple Aquarius NS409 Tablet PC. This netbook measures 241×215×26 mm and weight is about 1.25 kg. Aquarius NS409 Tablet PC comes equipped with 8.9-inch touchscreen display, which can be rotated 180 degrees, 1024×600 pixels, 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM and storage based on flash memory, two USB 2.0 port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and built-in webcam with motion sensor automatically select the correct orientation, and multi-format card reader.
Creative Zen X-Fi2 Media Player with Touchscreen
Creative has announced a new touchscreen MP3 player at IFA on Wednesday called the Creative Zen X-Fi2 that promises to be a cheap alternative to the iPod touch and Sony X-Series players. The Zen X-Fi2 measures 102 x 57 x 11.6 mm and weighs 75 grams and it is available in 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB. It boasts a built-in FM tuner, speaker and microphone, as well as support for audio formats.
Storm Camden: A Watch with Touchscreen
Storm London, a British company has recently announced the creation of this elegant Camden Watch, a watch with a touchscreen that can go into standby to save energy to turn it back just a touch, and the instrument is again ready to show time, date or text of your choice, provided that within the limit of 10 characters. Aside from displaying the time, the watch will also let you show off a text message up to 10 characters. Other features include an auto alarm and world time. Comes with Silver, Gold, and Slate colors.
GO V-Touch: The Touchscreen Mixing Device
Now a touchscreen not denied to anyone, from phones to PCs All-in-one, all devices in which there is a screen must be used with the touch of a finger. By the way, GO, an english company with taps, has decided to equip the the mixer V-Touch not only to touch a screen to display the water temperature, but also a touchpad to adjust the flow and water temperature. Sharp’s 5-inch PC-Z1 Ultramobile Device
Sharp Corporation, Japanese electronics giant, announced its 5-inch PC-Z1 Ultramobile Device, into the Japanese markets. The PC-Z1 ensures to take technology to a new dimension as it creates a new mobile device category with its release. This innovative device will feature a quick launch function (nearly 3 seconds) way too similar to mobile phones, enabling consumers to check their e-mails with immense convenience and ease. Users will be offered with a longer net access and can now enjoy net services due to its long battery running time (approx 10 hours).
