Eston Technology announced these days its product unveiling N97 and MID-05, the new mobile internet device (MID) and UMPC. The Eston N97 UMPC powered by a built-in rechargeable battery capacity of 2800 mAh, providing up to four hours of battery life, and equipped with media player, Web browser with Flash and the application for reading electronic books.

Nokia made a new firmware 2.0 for N97 smartphone. The update already available for free download from the Nokia Software Update website or via the menu on the phone. The installs a huge list of fixes, including a “soft” scroll with ‘flip scrolling’. Also available are “hot” keys for quick access to the homescreen with their preferences, a new version of Ovi Maps 3.1 with 3D maps, some component updates for Nokia E-mail, Ovi Contacts and Ovi Store.

Nokia made a new firmware version available for the Nokia N97. The new firmware version for the device, namely 11.0.021. The update installs a huge list of fixes, including stabilized widgets, better photo gallery control, and fixed user interface transitions.

There are also a series of widget UI improvements included in the new software, such as the new facebook widget that fixes a problem of Home Screen background visible on soft-key area. The firmware 11.0.021 also comes with a series of UI transition error fixes (Portrait to/from landscape transition).
