Acer Intros Aspire AS8940G-6865 Notebook

Acer has recently introduced its latest consumer notebook, the Aspire AS8940G-6865. Acer has told us a lot about the device that it will have a Blu-Ray drive, and a Dolby Home Theater. As far as actual performance goes, the Aspire AS8940G-6865 will feature Intel Core i7 720QM processor with a frequency of 1.6GHz, Nvidia GeForce GTS 250M with 1GB of dedicated VRAM, and 500 GB SATA hard disk drive.

Acer Offers AspireRevo with Atom 330

Acer’s Aspire Revo, the world’s first official NVIDIA ION-based nettop, was one of the most anticipated products this year, being the first to combine an Intel Atom processor with an NVIDIA motherboard GPU. And According to recent details that have surfaced on the Fudzilla, the Acer AspireRevo has now been rebranded as a Gateway QX2800 CPU, will provide users with a design similar to that of the Revo, but will boast some significant configuration changes. The new nettop will be featured with an Intel Atom 330 processor, which boasts a core speed of 1.6GHz and a dual-core architecture.

New Acer Aspire D250 Revision Coming Soon

Although so many users do not have any problem with WSVGA display (1024×600) of Aspire D250, but Acer plans to to release a revision to a higher resolution display (720p), means that the Aspire D250 model that will be equipped with a 1280×720 pixel display. However, the D250 use of Intel’s 1.66GHz Atom N280 and Acer supplies it with 1GB of DDR 2 memory. Watch out, though: it’s also available with the 1.6GHz N270, and in all supplier.

Acer Silently Updates 11.6-Inch Timeline 1810T

Acer has silently updates its Aspire Timeline 1810T. Please take a note that Aspire Timeline 1810T is not an Acer Aspire One, but it’s close enough. You could however easily mistake it for the Aspire One 751, as it’s based on the same chassis with a few modifications. It also shares the 11.6 inch screen with 1366×768 resolution. But almost everything else is inherited from the Timeline series.

Acer Unveils Travelmate Timeline 8371, 8471 and 8571 Netbook Series

Acer enhanced some new netbooks in its Travelmate Timeline series by adding Aspire 8371, 8471 and 8571 Timeline models. Each has 13.3-inch, 14-inch and 15.6 screen respectively. All have been injected in business point of view into the market. All netbooks have magnesium alloy casing that enhance durability as well as its rough construction makes all the notebooks anti-shock and secure from outside portions. The new Travelmate Timeline series are developed to complement the Aspire Timeline models, already had been launched in April.

Gateway Intros The ION-based QX2800 Nettop

As you all know that the Gateway has renamed the Acer’s AspireRevo nettop to QX2800, after a few hardware tweaks. the new nettop comes with a dual-core 1.6 GHz Atom 330 processor (single-core Atom 230 on the AspireRevo), 2GB of RAM, a 500GB hard drive, and GeForce 9400M integrated graphics. So the main differences involve the Gateway’s dual-core 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU rather than Acer’s single-core Atom. Also, Gateway opted to use a larger capacity 500GB hard drive, doubling the Acer’s 250GB drive.

As Gateway is under the Acer umbrella, focusing on the US market, the rebranded PC is not a surprise to those in the industry, and other components are common. This includes the NVIDIA Ion platform’s relatively fast graphics, Wi-Fi capability, an HDMI output, six USB 2.0 ports and a 4-in-1 card reader. The QX2800 will ship with Windows Vista Home Premium.

Emtec GBox Nettop PC Exposed

As you probably know that there’re a lot of ION products (apart from Acer’s AspireRevo) in the works, and one them is called “GBox” from EMTEC. However, this future nettop is not yet a final product – as well as its name – which means that some changes to its configuration might occur in the future.

But to be honest, what we see in the photos is quite enough to raise our interested, given the fact that this ION-packing prototype is actually slimmer even than the Revo, at least at a first sight.
