Toshiba (yes, Toshiba) has declared its latest 2.5-inch 5400RPM hard drive with the model Toshiba MK6465GSX. The MK6465GSX hard drive features an areal density of 817.9Mbit/mm2, (528.5 Gbit/in2), and while it maxes out at 640GB storage capacity and uses the new 320GB-per-platter design to reduce power consumption and heat dissipation by more than 80%.  Read More →
