Samsung’s S5500E Lydford Eco-Friendly Phone

Samsung unveils its another mobile phone called S5500E Lydford. This phone has an alarm that lets you know when the phone’s battery is fully charged. It also comes in a sliding form factor, the Samsung Reclaim, only that it does not feature the same QWERTY keyboard as the handset that went to US wireless carrier Sprint. Even so, S5500E Lydford is reportedly made out of recycled materials, and package from recycled paper and printed with soy ink.

For the standard feature of the Samsung S5500E Lydford, it has a 2.2” QWVGA screen, a 3 megapixel camera and of course the eco-sliding keyboard. However, the specifications list of the Samsung S5500E shows a 2.2-inch QWVGA screen, a 3-megapixel photo snapper, UMTS and HSDPA support, a series of multimedia and Internet capabilities, a glossy blue casing, external volume keys and a dedicated camera key, as well as a series of environmentally friendly feature, such as an alarm that announces the user that the battery is full when the phone is recharged.

No word yet on the date of release and pricing for the Samsung S5500E Lydford eco-slider handset.
