Samsung MBP200 Pico Pocket Projector Now Selling in Germany

The Samsung’s MBP200 pocketable micro-projector, however, has been announced a few months ago and it is available at a list price of €500, meaning $700, in Germany now. If you’re still unacquainted with the device, the MBP200 Pico Projector, which can connect to mobile phones and laptops and allows users to project content with up to a 50-inch viewing screen.

In addition, users can transfer files and project content independent of an attached source via the microSD card slot. The MBP200 is equipped with touchpad navigational controls and a 2.2-inch QVGA LCD screen that allows users to view content privately.

The Samsung MBP200 supports standard Microsoft Office and PDF formats for display. With the MBP200, users can listen to music and create playlists, as well as view video, pictures or PDF, PowerPoint, Word or Excel files.

To be more precisely, this device measures 110 x 49 x 19 millimeters, the new mobile projector can project bright images at a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels.It’s a little price at $700 but you should definitely consider it if you are searching pocket projectors. It features a 2.2 inch QVGA display, a touch-sensitive keypad, music player, video player, image viewer, file viewer, a 3.5mm headset jack and MicroSD card support, up to 16GB.

The pico projector can accommodate a range of screen sizes—from an 8.5-by-11 standard sheet of paper up to 50-inch screen. The MBP200 also comes with a small screen holder with a telescoping pole hidden inside, which can instantly turn a standard sheet of paper into a screen to view movies, document files or pictures. The 3.5mm standard jack allows users to enjoy their own headphones or speakers, and the built-in external speaker lets you play audio directly from the device.

The MBP200 has been named the CES Innovations 2009 Design and Engineering Best of Innovations in the wireless handset accessories category. The projector will be available later this year, for a price yet to be determined.
