Acer has recently introduced its latest consumer notebook, the Aspire AS8940G-6865. Acer has told us a lot about the device that it will have a Blu-Ray drive, and a Dolby Home Theater. As far as actual performance goes, the Aspire AS8940G-6865 will feature Intel Core i7 720QM processor with a frequency of 1.6GHz, Nvidia GeForce GTS 250M with 1GB of dedicated VRAM, and 500 GB SATA hard disk drive.

The Aspire AS8940G-6865 also sports a 18.4-inch screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, multi-format card reader, built-in web camera, a Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Touch-Capacitive Media Control Interface, and an 8-cell battery. The Aspire AS8940G-6865 also will running Windows 7 Home Premium, and start at $1350.
