Nokia made a new firmware 2.0 for N97 smartphone. The update already available for free download from the Nokia Software Update website or via the menu on the phone. The installs a huge list of fixes, including a “soft” scroll with ‘flip scrolling’. Also available are “hot” keys for quick access to the homescreen with their preferences, a new version of Ovi Maps 3.1 with 3D maps, some component updates for Nokia E-mail, Ovi Contacts and Ovi Store.

Of course, it will increased battery life of smartphone. Nokia also announced sales of Nokia N97 mini smartphones. It will appear in European stores this week and will cost 450 EUR (without taxes and subsidies).

Announcement of Nokia N97 mini in September, this phone is equipped with 3.2-inch touchscreen, slightly smaller than the “big brother” Nokia N97 and 8GB internal memory (compared to 32GB in Nokia N97).
