Creative has announced a new touchscreen MP3 player at IFA on Wednesday called the Creative Zen X-Fi2 that promises to be a cheap alternative to the iPod touch and Sony X-Series players. The Zen X-Fi2 measures 102 x 57 x 11.6 mm and weighs 75 grams and it is available in 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB. It boasts a built-in FM tuner, speaker and microphone, as well as support for audio formats.
That’s right. These audio formats are MP3, WMA (DRM9) Audible4, AAC, FLAC and video files: WMV9, MPEG4-SP, DivX 4/5 and XviD. Creative ZEN X-FI2 also equipped with a microSD slot for storing more files and patented technologies, such as X-Fi Crystalizer, and X-Fi Expand. Creative ZEN X-FI2 PMP with 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB are currently available in the pre-order for respectively $130, $180 and $230.
