HP is going to ship the EliteBook 8740w mobile workstation with the newly announced NVIDIA Quadro 5000M graphics card, according to Electronista. The 17-inch workstation is powered by up to Core i7 Extreme Edition and up to 16GB of RAM.

The Quadro FX 5000M has 320 CUDA cores and 2GB of GDDR5 memory. The 8740w meets tough military standards (MIL-STD 810G) for vibration, dust, humidity, altitude and extreme temperatures and features HP DuraCase with magnesium-alloy structure, hardened steel pin axels and scratch-resistant HP DuraFinish and HP 3D DriveGuard for hard drive protection.

The HP EliteBook 8740w starts at $1999.

Samsung announced its latest point-and-shoot digital camera, the ST80 with integrated WiFi and Samsung AllShare DLNA connectivity for easy sharing of images. The 14.2 Megapixel ST80 has a slim and rounded design. It features a 3x optical zoom lens, a 3-inch touchscreen and ability to record 720p HD video at 30fps in H.264 format.
