Altec Lansing OMNI Speakers Revealed
As you know that Altec Lansing is one of the most popular multimedia speakers manufacture in American audio history. Now the manufacture brings us a new look and model of its speaker, which designed by Nuno Teixeira. Of course, if it ever gets into production, this new speaker could put Altec back on the cutting edge. Agree, eh?
The Altec Lansing Omni speakers is a three way design with upward firing drivers intended to deliver an even 360 degree sound radiation, giving it the type of openness and huge sound stage you can’t normally achieve with a conventional forward radiating design. A heavy construction ensures lesser vibrations and superior sound quality. Each structure houses a woofer, a mid-range speaker and the tweeter on the top.
The three of them don’t get into a fight coz they are shielded from each other via a ceramic plate. Since a cone sits on the top of each speaker, it distributes the sound equally in all directions. A big Omni party in there!
Unfortunately, there is no word on the price and availability of this product yet.
